Reigniting the spark of la dolce vita

Show Us Your LOVE FOR ITALY

What Does italy mean to you?

The My Italy campaign is about showing us what Italy means to you. We want to see where you come from. We want you to show us your roots. We invite all Italian Americans and anyone with a passion for Italy to share a photo on their Instagram account and write a post of what is behind that photo. It could be a beloved nonna making sugo, a photo of a wonderful Italian vacation, or a photo of your family’s home in Italy.

Want to participate?

All you have to do is share your photo as a post on Instagram and tell us what’s behind that photo. Make sure to tag us at @myitalycampaign.

"I love Italy. I love that I come from that soil, that a few generations ago Guccione's populated a small village outside Palermo, and (hopefully) contributed to the daily and communal life. I know they ate, argued, loved, reproduced, dreamed, drank and schemed along with the best of them. And some got away to America, and three subsequent generations haven't lessened the pull to the true motherland. I'm always most viscerally at home in Italy. My being is grounded there, and restless everywhere else. Italy is true North, true home."

Vision & Mission

Italy is timelessโ€”from the art of Da Vinci to the ancient ruins in Rome, Italy has proven that it can stand the test of time.

You could say Italy is immortal.

Itโ€™s a way of life, a state of mind and a state of being. You feel Italy in your veins, in your heart, and soul. It is a connection passed on from generation to generation.

Italy was hit hard by the pandemic. Italy thrives on tourism and has yet to recover from the economic shock it took on the country.

This is the why. Why we’ve put together this campaign: to spread love for Italy and all things Italian in a time that the country needs it most.

We are asking anyone who has a strong connection to Italy to participate in our Instagram campaign. What does Italy mean to you? Is it a feeling? A sound? An image? Share a video or post via Instagram.

"Italy runs through my veins. Being Italian American is not just a feeling. It's a way of life. It's part of my heart, soul, and mind. It is all thanks to my great-grandfather who came from a small town in Salerno that I am living the life I am today in Italy with my beautiful family. Italy has the power to give people a sense of meaning and a sense of life. Italy gave me mine."

"From my very first visit to Italy, 22 years ago, I was so taken with this beautiful country that it felt like home to me, and I have no Italian heritage. Living in Italy has taught me to slow down, appreciate the simple things in life and given me a sense of contentment and peace that I never knew existed inside of me. I am so grateful to be living in a beautiful region like Puglia with my two Italo-Australiano bambinos, living our best lives."
